The Kindle is quickly growing in popularity. Many of you are probably already familiar with this device, but for those who are not, the Kindle is an electronic device that allows you to read and download books right from it. It lets you browse the online Kindle shop and even download audio books. The Kindle Touch lets you download music and listen to it while you’re reading and get this- you can even check your Facebook with the Kindle Touch, although connection is slow.

Google Glasses May Be Coming Soon

Yet another interested new tech toy will be coming to us by the end of the year, according to a report in the New York Times. Google will be debut a new type of glasses. They are essentially digital glasses, but can be referred to as Google Glasses.

Ok, so what will they do and how will they work? The glasses will have Android-based lenses overlaying your view of the world with various kinds of information, including maps. The glasses will have the ability to tell you exactly how far you are from arriving at your destination. Mind you, they are not supposed to be used all the time, but it's a sure bet that some tech geeks will be wearing them A LOT.

The glasses will be equipped with a 3G or 4G connection that willl enable the wearer to download data. Controlling the menu will be super easy: you'll just nod or bop your head. Ingenius, right?

Social media, cloud computing and other such tech startups have been all the rage in the recent tech bubble. In May 2011, we had LinkedIn going public which went up 55 percent just on its first day of trading and has been going up ever since but it does have a large range for such a new company on the NYSE with a 52 week range of $55.98 - $122.70.

Then Groupon had the largest IPO since search engine giant Google by raising $700 million. What is more, even tech companies are reported to be hiring like crazy with smart people going to make careers in Silicon Valley rather than on Wall Street.

When the smart TV first hit the market, so many were amazed about all of the features a television could offer. While televisions were once for viewing, they are now used to search the web, explore applications; watch YouTube videos and much more. They are not so much a television as they are a computer like device, with functions similar to the television! The smart TV is a great device for those who belong to different movie streaming programs such as; Blockbuster online and Netflix.

Most people don’t realize just how valuable their public library is. For example, you may not be aware that there are books that can instruct you on how to start your own online business. I always find it best to do plenty of research before putting all of my heart, soul, and time into an online venture.

If you are interested in starting your own website, you’ll find plenty of books that break down html into steps you can understand. I even found it helpful to check out a few of those types of books found in the children’s section of the library. It was much easier for me to understand because I am not really all that technical.
